shopping!

hello digital print silk trousers .. i want you!
the pattern has hand painted birds in watercolours and gouache! inspired by tribal african prints, morrocan mosaic motifs & authentic asian ikats .. all n all amazing, bold geometries perfect for spring! dont you think? i loooove it!

Not going to be able to get my hands on these bad boys for a while but I am definitly waiting it out. It might seem like a brave choice but I think they'll be adorable in spring with a plain simple tee and some cute sandals. Quite an expensive pair (£140) but who cares about the price when you can look pretty? ♥

I finally got to get my make-up today though. Like I said .. I shattered my bronzer into a million pieces the other day so definity had to go and refresh my make-up bag. Buying some more next week as they didn't have all my pieces today .. always sold out when you need it! Trying a new concealer this time around aswell. The lady sold it to me like butter sells in a dairy shop!

morning glory at WBG.

Came in to store this morning and saw that the whole floor was perfect! The guys last night did a brilliant job, I have to say. Amazing .. Putting some images of the floor a bit later today but thought I'd show you a little sneak peak first.

Time for some more work now and then a siesta! / P. x

13 years ago .. but it seems like i've still got it!

span my bobbin ..
.. and the threads are in place!

I know .. it sounds really stupid and easy and you all probably do it blind-folded. But it was almost 13 years ago I threaded a sewing machine .. so I am really proud of myself. And more than that .. I'm so happy I have have my adorable sewing machine! We are going to make magic together .. Haha.

Starting work at 7am in our WBG store tomorrow and it's already VERY late. So I'm off to bed good people of the world. Sleep tight now! / P. x

light and texture.

material & light series
material & texture series

Had a very lazy day today. Slept till about 2pm and still had to drag myself out of my bed. My knee was hurting so stayed home from work and decided that I could spend the whole day working on my own pieces. Instead I was browsing through some images on my laptop and came across a few from some design projects I was working on before. Miss discovering the endless possiblities of material manipulation and exploration .. especially through photography. A camera is like the most beautiful thing ever invented .. so today I am making a pact with myself and my wallet to save up for my first SLR camera. :) Wonder which one though..?

Anyways .. time to eat and then attempt to thread my sewing machine for the first time ever! Laters / P. x

bright young things

Last week we were introduced to the new project currently running at Selfridges, Bright Young Things. An interplay between 20 unique up-and-coming artist and designers all under the same roof, bringing everything from geometry to illustrations to the high-end department store. Some are quite bizzare, I have to say, but these artists are the ones Selfridges believe will make the most noise in 2011 and beyond. We had the privilege to see a brief catwalk with bits from some of the 10 first designers involved and we were presented with some quite extra-ordinary pieces. The concept is both a full window scheme (created by the designers themselves) and three in-store temporary shops. Products are also availible online.

Having windows viewed by millions of people every week that are some of the most famous ones in the world you make a big point when you decide to let completely new artists take over the full lot of them. It's something quite magnificently done by Selfridges. And so very brave! But it works so well and the sets are amazing! Walked past them today and were blown away so if you are in London, make sure you have a look. The project will be up till end of next month with the 10 remaining designers to showcase their work on February 4.
